"Nemasket Hill Cemetery"

  Nemasket Hill

The Nemasket Hill Cemetery Association, consisting of all plot and niche owners, elects Trustees to oversee all aspects of cemetery operations including the grounds, chapel, sales & services, maintenance & improvements, volunteers, veterans, history, and donations.

Sales & Services:  For information or questions on purchasing a burial plot or a niche, please use our general email info@nemaskethillcemetery.com or call 774-281-6633.

Maintenance & Improvements:  Our largest annual expense is for the grounds and buildings.  The cemetery's 33 acres is a daunting task to maintain.  With the trustees (all serve on a volunteer basis) and several volunteers that supply labor, there is the added costs of equipment, gas, and largest expense...tree maintenance.  Lot holders are responsible for the repair of their monuments, but we try to repair monuments as we have the time and resources to do so.  Questions?  Please contact Joan Gladu at 508-579-7009.

Volunteers & My Brother's Keeper Program:  Volunteers are critical to keeping our cemetery beautiful. We are grateful for all who participate. The Brother's Keeper is a volunteer program that assists with the grounds keeping, adopting a section that may include your loved ones.  Questions?  Please contact Joan Gladu at 508-579-7009.

Veteran Information:  With over 350 years, our cemetery is the final resting place of veterans of several wars and conflicts since King Philip's War. We are proud of and honor all our veterans. For information or questions regarding veteran stones, Memorial Day flag placements, or other services, please contact trustee, Martha (Marty) Gladu, MSgt, U.S. Air Force (Ret.) at NHCVets@aol.com

Historian:  For information or questions about the extensive history of the cemetery, the many 'residents' that helped shape Middleborough, the Chapel,  old Nemasket River footbridge, etc., please contact Margaret Washburn at 774-281-6633.

Donations:  We are grateful for all donations...monetary , labor, plants, in-kind.  We are a 501(c)(13) nonprofit organization so you will receive a tax deduction for all donations. To make a monetary donation, please use our 'Donate' section of this site or you may mail your check to: Nemasket Hill Cemetery, P.O. Box 31, Middleborough, MA 02346.  WE THANK-YOU!
