"Nemasket Hill Cemetery"

How to Become a Volunteer

At Nemasket Hill, we have no paid employees and all Trustees of the Association serve on a volunteer basis.  Nemasket Hill Cemetery would not be able to maintain the beautiful grounds without the help of volunteers.  We are always in need of volunteers willing to mow lawns, rake leaves, pick up sticks and branches, and to assist with projects.  Our greatest challenge and time of need is early spring.  Old Man Winter always leave us with a big mess to clean up!

Our 'My Brother's Keeper Program' is a popular way to volunteer by adopting a section of the cemetery that includes your family or loved ones.

Please remember, if you are an owner of a plot or niche, you are a member of the Nemasket Hill Association. Amounts paid for Perpetual care get depleted very quickly.

Annually, we honor our veterans in May during 'National Military Appreciation Month'.  On the third Saturday in May, to coincide with Armed Forces Day, we, along with other groups and volunteers, place U.S. flags on our veterans' graves.  In December, we participate in the annual 'Wreaths Across America'.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions for new/existing projects or how we can improve the cemetery?  We would love to hear from you!

To get started, please call our volunteer coordinator, Joan Gladu at 508-579-7009, by email at info@nemaskethillcemetery.com .

We greatly appreciate any and all time that you can offer.  Please come and help whenever you have time to spare. We would love to add your picture to our volunteer wall below.
